This is my attempt to learn from {I couldn't copy if I even wanted to} English artist John Constable's work
"The Hay Wain" which he painted over 250 years ago (1821)
Constable(1776-1837)was considered a Romantic, pre-Impressiionist who painted his countryside in the Suffolk and Essex England area.
His cousin lived in the house almost IN the River Stour. Men are cutting hay with a scythe in the far distance.
The wagon in the foreground, driven by 3 horses, is stationary while its wooden wheels soak up water before heading to the back field for a load of hay. Constable didn't travel much;instead painted mostly scenes of his local neighborhood and clouds, lots of clouds.
He was a prolific sketcher sometimes even on postage stamp size pieces of paper.
